Had wanted to try it but couldn't quite get there. I went last night and I can truly say that even if the food were not terrific - which it was - the service alone was worth the trip. I will be returning soon.

LOVED this place, came as a first-timer with my fiance for lunch a few weeks ago. Menu definitely better suited for lunch than dinner, and it was BUSY! The decor is absolutely adorable, eclectic, and fun. Food was yummy! I can't wait to go back... Only complaint = service a tad on the SLOW side.

While the food is great and the atmosphere is cozy and eclectic, I always feel unwelcome and rushed by the servers. I understand that the restaurant is usually pretty busy, but one waitress in particular is particularly short with customers- she hustles up to the table, barks "what are you ordering" and scribbles down the order without ever making eye contact.

What a little gem. Took my parents to West Palm for a road trip and this place came recommended by Tripadvisor.com . It feels like you're in South Carolina with the stained glass windows and cozy interior. We were greeted by a very warm and friendly gentleman. Definitely a ladies-who-lunch spot with fresh home-cooked food, reasonable prices and manageable but satisfying portions. Here is what we ordered: Mushroom Tarragon soup of the day- creamy, savory and the fresh tarragon was a nice touch You can mix and match any half salad and sandwich; My mom chose the prosciutto melon salad and the Grilled Chicken, Mozzarella & Avocado sandwich. The salad is just sliced cantaloupe wrapped in prosciutto, not all that original and would be better with honeydew. The half sandwich was BIG and according to my mom, delectable. The quiche served with baked oven fries was awesome. Loved the perfectly browned cheesy crust and the oven fries were crispy and lovely. The best of all was the Gorgonzola and Applewood Bacon flat bread. The caramelized onions paired perfectly with the Gorgonzola and bacon. The crust was crispy and flaky. The turkey meatloaf was moist and soft but could have used a touch of tomato in it. Otherwise savory and a generous serving for the low price. Save room for dessert!!! You get to mix and match half portions or even order a $12 sampler for the table. Their best seller is the strawberry rhubarb pie, which they actually order from an outside bakery called The Upper Crust. The pie filling was a little tart and I felt the crust was not sweet enough to balance the tartness. It was also served cold, which was disappointing. I much preferred the chocolate croissant bread pudding. Can I just say OMG. Chocolaty moist and soft deliciousness drizzled with a butterscotch sauce, be sure to get it a la mode. I could have eaten not only a full but a double portion of it without regret. Their dessert special for the day was a walnut brownie topped with vanilla ice cream. I didn't get to taste it but my parents devoured the whole thing without looking up so it must have been great. Thank goodness this place is not in my neighborhood or I would have to get that bread pudding on a regular basis, along with a boot camp membership to work it off.

I was visiting my parents which live in PB and wanted to check out any new hotspots for lunch while I was there. To my surprise, I couldn't believe such a hidden gem was hiding in a spot that I had passed a 1000 times before. The ambiance was eclectic, refined, tons of art hanging from the ceilings and a very attentive staff was the perfect combination. I ordered the soup de jour along with a half turkey sandwich, delish!! Highly recommend coming back here and definitely over lunch.

I really like this place - a charming atmosphere and yummy, fresh food. My favorite dishes are the curry chicken salad and the turkey brie sandwich. I guess my only complaints are about how crowded it gets in there sometimes and how limited the parking is. It has definitely helped now that they've extended the place. However, when things start to get busy in there, it's amazing how much the service slows down. One of the other reviews mentions how the wait staff can make you feel rushed. I definitely agree, but they've never been blatantly rude to us. Overall, thumbs up!

wow. how did i end up here? i was abducted by aliens and somehow i ended in west palm beach. i swear. so thanks to the yelp app for android - which still has no talk feature as compared to the yelp app for the iphone/ipad but im not hating, im just sayin - i found belle and maxwells and decided to check it out. the decor is nice. looks like a photography set for architecture digest or something of that nature. i can tell that whoever took care of this part of the biz is really into design. good job! the day i was there, the soup of the day was gazpacho but... they were out of it. so instead i got the seafood chowder. tomato based. good stuff. 4$ for the cup. i also got the risotto with mushrooms. very very good and for 5$ more you get crab meat on it. so why not? i got five bucks in my pocket right now. i like crab meat. go at it bro. get crazy with it. this dish was the highlight of my stay in west palm beach. i could not finish it so i did the doggie bag for doggie me, the dinner edition. and i finished it indeed because it was awesome. service was ok. it was effective but i wish to see more smiles when i pay over twenty dollars per main dish but oh well.. so for this reason, i subtracted a star but nevertheless, i strongly recommend this restaurant if youre in the area.

Interior is a country shabby chic, located amongst the antique shops of Dixie highway. The decor is nicely arranged and depending on which seat or table you get your dining experience can feel like a lounge tea house or busy cafe. The place was indeed packed, the menu had a few salads and sandwiches mostly french inspired with unique ingredients. The dessert menu looked like it would be well worth indulging in. Admittedly, I did not enjoy my full experience, perhaps it was the mild items we ordered or the lack luster service. I will make the effort to try it again and hope for a better time.

The SWEETEST little gem of a place! I had an auto repair around the corner, and decided to walk around and find a nice spot for a bite to eat. I ended up stumbling into the Belle and Maxwelle's restaurant- I have lived in WPB for years and NEVER noticed it! I'm glad they put out the street sign! The atmosphere is wonderful- clean, cool, and adorably quaint. Everything just looked so lovingly designed. I had a great server, and settled in with my nook to kill the hour. The rosewater-raspberry iced tea was delicious- though I have a sweet tooth and added a sugar- very refreshing after walking around in SOFLA! The baked parmesan fries with ranch is to DIE for. I'm a fry fan..its my diet killer. The baked mac and cheese was also nice, but I was interested in trying one of their quiches- next time I suppose. Highly recommended. It has such a nice "brunch at Tiffany's" feel.

It's a fun and funky oasis in the South Dixie antiques district. We came upon the reco of Simon Doonan and Jonathan Adler in a magazine article. The decor is a little campy, kitschy, country-fied. Had a split of cava and the turkey meatloaf, which was moist and perfect. We also nibbled on the potato wedge fries. The lump crab and mango salad looked super! Reasonably priced lunch fare in an area bereft of dining options. Perfect for decorators and their walkers.

Just had lunch here over the weekend and thought it was absolutely lovely -- from the decor to the service to the food. We sat outside as it was an absolutely beautiful day, but I couldn't help but notice how quirky and fun the interior looked as we walked through the dining room to the back patio. We sat next to a man-made "pond" that was defunct (I'm assuming) since the water was black and murky, which also made it the perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes. Well suffice to say, I got about 5 bites in before I had enough and had to liberally spray my body with "Off" that was open to public use. But, that's what I get for sitting outside on a warm Florida day.. The food came out promptly and I was astonished by how amazing everything tasted. I ordered the open face tuna melt, while my boyfriend had their special of the day -- a pork sandwich. I tried a few bites of his while he sampled mine and we both agreed that they were both equally as good. My tuna melt was really one of the best I've had and I'm quite a tuna melt connoisseur (haha). The 7 grained bread was nice and toasty, the tuna was mixed with capers and celery and the perfect amount of mayo, the cheese was ample and perfectly "melty" and there was a nice fresh slice of tomato on top. It was divine. My only complaint is that it was really pricey. My tuna melt (albeit absolutely delicious) was $12. It didn't include any sides, except for a sliver of a cantaloupe. However, I would definitely eat here again although probably not as frequently. The quality of the food was amazing, but the quantity was meager (especially for $12).

Belle and Maxwell's never ceases to please my taste buds! This is why I keep coming back every Friday to have lunch with my girls. They often play Brazilian music that I love and the food is fantastic. The decor is fun, whimsical and cute with a very 'world' and 'garden-like' feel. I've tried all of their soups and they're all excellent and have a wonderful authentic, homemade taste. Their tuna melt is superb; they add capers and top it with a nice slice of red tomato. The lump crab meat salad is delicious as well. Frankly, there isn't anything on the menu I haven't tried and I've been pleased with everything. Aside from how delicious the food is, all the dishes have a fresh, healthy and organic taste. The place is always pretty busy, which means they're obviously doing something right! However, it does seem that they are somewhat understaffed. Even still, the staff does check on you and makes sure you're taken care of, over all. ...A truly great place to enjoy a great lunch!

Gem on Dixie... Food is fresh and light. Fresh and refreshing teas and nice wine selections. Great stop for lunch if you are in the area. Tip: make reservations. It gets quite busy and you may have to wait for a table during peak dining times.

This place is too cute! Seriously...it's the epitome of adorable!! I went here with a friend for lunch today and had a wonderful time. From the outside, I was a bit reluctant at first, but once you walk in the decor is so intriguing and the tables and furniture are very well-placed, so it's comfortable and inviting and I don't think there's one bad seat in the house. I spent the whole lunch gazing around at the restaurant (probably much to the annoyance of my friend - lol), and although it's small. I still don't think I got to see everything! There's also a small area for outside seating in the back that looked so quaint - a little fountain in the middle of the patio, and trees and foliage for shading. The food was good but not outstanding. I ordered one of the specials, veggie quiche with Parmesan crusted potatoes and a side salad. The quiche was a little too soft and runny for my taste, but perhaps that's a personal preference. The potatoes were surprisingly bland and although I rarely use ketchup or salt, I added both to the potatoes to make it a bit tastier. The salad was...well...just a small spring side salad. My friend ordered the basil, mozzarella and pesto pressed sandwich...as I was constantly looking around, at one point I looked back and the sandwich was completely gone so I can only surmise that it was delish! I also ordered hot tea, not because I love hot tea, but because of the experience...they have a tea menu with all sorts of concoctions and they bring you a miniature teapot where the leaves are steeping and you pour it yourself. The tea was so-so but I loved the idea of it! I know, I know...silly! All in all a great experience and I will definitely be returning...perfect little place for lunch with a good friend, mom, sister, daughter...it is sort of a chick place...just sayin'...

I LOVE Belle and Maxwell's. I've been coming here for the last couple of years with my mom, who found the location when out with her girl friends. She and I go to Belle's at least a couple of times over the summer when she is off from teaching. Also, Belle's now has a Happy Hour! They have $5 house wines and excellent appetizer selections. My favorite item on the menu is the parmesan and rosemary fries with the aioli dip. Excellent. I also had a flatbread with goat cheese, tomatoes and bacon that was delicious. Their sandwiches are great for lunch, and the desserts are worth indulging in. Cute atmosphere, small and quaint and friendly service. No wonder I keep coming back!

  • Candice L.

For starters, the ambience is amazing!!! That is the main reason I would return. I just love how charming, cozy and quaint it is with the trees inside, the couches, bar area, wooden floors and the tree branch chairs outside. I had the wings which had a nice flavor of rosemary and other spices. However, I wasn't particularly fond of the way they were prepared and they tasted overly greasy without any sauce on them? Not spicy at all. Hey, I'm a huge fan of spicy wings and I don't like breading so maybe that has something to do with it. The worst part was the service. I had to ask for water for the table twice and all kinds of other things. We really felt rushed too!! And one of the servers was just about the rudest person I've ever come across in a restaurant. But hey, I'll give it another shot because I just love the feeling of being inside minus being rushed.

This is, hands down, one of my favorite places in the world. I read some great reviews and some horrible reviews of this place and it really didn't add up (at first). I think you have to be willing to ask questions and not walk into the restaurant with a pre-determined notion of what your meal will or will not be. If you have never been to Belle and Maxwell's, you might sit down for dinner and order a large sandwich and think, that's it? You have to ask the servers, look around at what others are ordering, and then make a choice. My girlfriend took me here the first time and it was a revelation. We always order a half salad and half sandwich(roast beef!!). Sometimes we get a soup (gazpacho is wicked). It's perfect. The servers don't fawn on you like they do in other Palm beach locales (also perhaps part of the problem). It's kind of like being in the Mediterranean in the summer and sitting down at a restaurant that is popular with tourists and locals. They know they have a good thing and they know that your presence or absence will not ultimately effect the restaurant. They get the job done, no nonsense, always polite, and a little busy. Do yourself a favor, go here or lunch ( don't know about dinner, never been), sit outside in the back, next to the fountain, order a glass of chard, the gazpacho, half roast beef sand and pear or apple salad and just enjoy life.

Perfect supercivilized quaint and comfortable tea house and/or luncheon spot( but they also serve dinners)...sampled their mushrom/barley soup ....perfection...better than average gaspacho......great selection of sandwiches , enjoyed a smoked turkey , brie and avocado creation ...also wonderful desserts...the menu is not for the" weak willed" if you're on any kind of diet fad...This place is special!

Rave. Rave. Rave. Great place to be a vegetarian. The place is crowded with art that you want to pick up and put on your wall. The service while certainly not the best, it was not the worst either. It does earn negative points for the table layout. It was crowded, but I feel as if it would be less so if designed better. The food (most important) was flawless. I ordered the quiche of the day Brie with zucchini with Parmesan fries and this bottle worthy peanut, ginger, citrus dressing over greens with fresh tomatoes. We also shared a Chico croissant bread pudding with butterscotch caramel topping with ice cream. I had the lemonade, which while not extraordinary, it was satisfying. Scott's ice-t was a better choice. Wish I could visit every week and buy a bottle of the dressing.

Great place for lunch in West Palm. Lots of charm and definitely a girl spot. Had the quiche and parmesean fries - quiche didn't bowl me over but fries were good. Also, like dressing on salad.

$11 menu for the most part. Older crowd clean and quaint. If your looking for a heavy meal, this isn't the place. Generous helpings with fresh ingredients. Imported beer selection is adequate (at least they have Guinness and Heineken). Good wine selections. Had the special which was a quiche with artichoke and other veggies...was very favorable and a green salad. The wait staff was very friendly and constantly came out to check up on me to see if I needed anything. There is plenty of seating inside as well as a fenced back area with small grotto with gold fish.

Ok. Alert. Belle and Maxwell's is open afternoon to evening - it is no longer a breakfast/brunch cafe. This eclectic tea-shop type joint is a cute, comfortable place to hang out, talk, eat, sip, and relax. Don't be fooled by the decor however. The food is serious. The menu offers many delicious options and the 4 of us had a wonderful meal. The little iron seats weren't the most comfortable, but the food and service won us over. We will return - probably often.

  • Sommer M.

The food was great but a little overpriced for what you got. We both had sandwiches but thought they needed a little something on the side (small salad, baked chips, etc.) The service was aweful! I am usually very understanding of waitstaff because I am also a waitress, but our server was far from friendly, very slow, mixed up our credit card with another table (she charged their food on ours twice and had to void it!) The atmosphere was adorable. It would be the ideal place to have a bridal shower, baby shower, or ladies luncheon.

Loved the Decor, great for a girls lunch. Waitress was rude and chewing gum. Pricey (for not getting a side with the sandwich) for what you get but fresh ingredients. Waitress messed up payment and charged card 3 times. Got fixed 20 min later...

This is a find - you have to search on Dixie for this gem but it is worth it. Excellent menu and i can't wait to go back- the outdoor dining in the back is very private and the staff and owner go out of their way. Excellent prices and service AAA++++

  • H S.

Cute, cozy with character. It's not an institutional or chain kind of place. It was jammed on a recent Saturday (don't sit in the last tables by the kitchen unless there is no other choice!) On a cooler day, the garden is quiet and pleasant. Tasty food that's a bit creative, at very reasonable prices. Had a seared tuna on greens salad with a soy dressing, which was tasty. I would skip the ice cream the next time as it was not special. All in all, a great spot for lunch while shopping the antique and consignment stores on Dixie.

had a great dinner there which was served in a comfortable atmosphere with efficient service, decent portions and excellent taste. They apparent;ly expanded into the adjacent space so that now it is more of a restaurant rather than just a sandwich/coffee shop which is what it had been in the past. Suspect it might be under new ownership, but definitely now a place to go for a good meal at a reasonable price.

although the family of the owner is a client of mine, I find the other customers getting the same special treatment that I always feel I get here. Beet and goat cheese salad of arugula, Angus burger, turkey meatloaf, and OMG! the rainbow trout I had was melt in your mouth good and a light butter sauce ... just to wonderful!! earl grey is the iced tea, or raspberry. gotta love a place that thinks up something unusual for iced tea, which is a staple in the south! . I go there often after work, when I am to tired to cook, as it's only blocks away from work, or home for me.

I love this place! I moved up north a few years ago and every time we return to south Florida we make it a point to stop by and have lunch. I always get the signature roast beef sandwich with the apple and goat cheese sandwich. They have a 1/2 and 1/2 combo which gives you just the right amount of salad to neutralize the guilt of the melted Brie and roast beef goodness! Oh and the salad dressing is to die for, they usu bring a bottle of it out on the table and you just add what you want. I've also tried the parmesan and parsley fries, which I would highly recommend. This place is awesome, you must try it for lunch!

I order lunch from this place regularly. Great sandwich and salad options. The portions are not large and some might say the price is a little high for the portion, but super yummy and very good quality. The baked French fries are a fan favorite. I also love their tomato and mozzarella half sandwich paired with a scoop of their super yummy tuna salad which comes on a bed of greens. Folks that I have dined with have spoken very highly of their soups. The brie, apple, walnut sandwich is also a favorite. The actual location is very cute, staff is friendly and attentive, decor is interesting. It can be a little on the loud side and parking is sometimes tough. I've only had dinner here once, but again very good quality. I had lightly fried trout, which I think was one of the specials, and came with a smashed potato and small salad. House wine was good quality as well. I am absolutely going to go back for dinner again some time soon.

Super yummy! I was here for a baby shower so I don't know if the menus is the same. I got the pear Gorgonzola salad and my friend got the Brie turkey avocado sandwich! So delicious! The portion of the salad was huge and the Brie was the best part of the sandwich. Cute place with quirky funky decor!

I don't usually give 5 stars, but when I do, there has to be good eats at this cute lil place! Similar to the decor of Amelie's in Charlotte, NC, this small restaurant was the perfect way to welcome me to the WPB area. Almost hidden among larger buildings/businesses, I believe I got really lucky with my first dining experience in WPB! I arrived and immediately took a place at the bar. Who would want to sit at a table if you're there alone? *awkward* But was greeted by a server, and a small portion of bread, which is perfect for a party of one! The service was so friendly and quick, and made sure to give their own input in what I was thinking about ordering (which is helpful to me, cause in most cases, the server knows whats good and bad). I decided to go with the Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled jumbo shrimp, because I believe that I am an Alfredo connoisseur. ^.^ I paired the pasta with a Cabernet (because it was half off....) and immediately regretted it. The wine was honestly the only thing wrong with this place, which is why I didn't remove a star. Plus, its not the restaurant's fault, I'm just an avid beer drinker. I recommend this place for date night, especially for Valentine's Day!!! Mainly because I saw a cute couple sharing a couch next to their table and cuddling....awwwww....

I'm giving two stars because it was so bad that I won't be back, but it does have great decor, great wait staff, and great salad dressing, which I may buy and use at home. Their wine is too hot -- nobody wants red wine at Florida room temp. It's supposed to be CHATEAU room temp, or around 65 degrees. We who didn't live in chateaux drank beer when those rules were being made, though our rooms also probably were 65 degrees or colder. Their wine sits out too long once it's opened. The house wines seem sweet to me, but at least they probably turn over faster than the French ones. I wound up with an over-oxidized, too-warm St. Emilion. HUGE disappointment -- gave it back without drinking it, but they charged me for it. I admit offering St. Emilion and Medoc by the glass is great, but not if they're served ruined. If you take the chance, maybe ask how long ago the bottle was opened. If it's yesterday or something, I'd pass. Be sure your salad dressing is shaken up before it goes into the bottle they give you. Ours tasted like pure oil, and I know it to be truly great dressing. You have to compensate for sloppy handling of the food, sometimes, at least. We asked them to find us a good bottle of dressing, and they did. What we got at first was NOT good. I had a flatbread which seemed not to have been heated enough. I suspected it was frozen and microwaved from the wet and cold spots in it and the unmelded cheeses. I ate the bacon from it and gave the rest back for the cats. I don't eat whatever junk is set before me, because there's a cost in calories and bad fats. There was just too much wrong with B & M today for me to have the faith to go again, though they used to be pretty good. I've been away for two years and I was shocked. It's all bad food handling, too. Nothing they couldn't do better.

I love this quaint little place .Going there for lunch is wonderful. the quiche is outstanding and the coffee is to die for. But watch out for dinner. Their prices are a half order for one price , full orders for another price and the waitress may ask you if you want to have a half order for your main course . But my group got stuck with full-size salads which was the price of an entrée . Be specific when you order.

Lovely ambience and location, the staff is always friendly and the establishment is very clean and comfortable. I absolutely love the apple and goat cheese salad - the house dressing is unique, light, and delicious!! Other table favorites are the quiche, lentil soup, and sandwiches. A great spot for either a quick bite or to spend time with friends. All around 5 stars!

Food was good but service was slow. If you go at lunch and have to get back to work, ask for your check early. We were there for over an hour for sandwiches. We were greeted pretty quickly and asked if we wanted to order, but we needed some time. After ordering we only saw the server at our table once- (after asking for her) to get the check. She was nice but appeared to have too many tables at once. I ordered the roast beef and Brie sandwich - tasty but not amazing- not super duper flavorful. The tomatoes were nasty and needed to be removed, mealy and looked liked they'd been cut and kept in the fridge for several days. The baguette was crispy and light. The raspberry tea was quite tasty! I really liked that they had unsweetened flavored tea!

Food: Average. I was really hoping for some tummy eats. While nothing was "bad" nothing was great. The price seems disproportionate to the price. Service:Great.excellent, welcoming! Atmosphere: Adorable. Great date location if you are not a foodie. Everything about the atmosphere is 5 star.

Just love this restaurant! Lunch & dinner this trip to FL. I could easily eat every meal here as I've never been disappointed. Dinner last night with 3 friends was wonderful....great service by Marissa. Loved their mussels for an appetizer and salmon/Boursin flatbread for my main dish....there were so many wonderful choices but I was saving room for their famous Key Lime Pound Cake. Everyone loved their meals: Chicken Piccata, Margarita Flatbread, Prosciutto & Melon salad and the mussels for 3 of us. Be sure to try their dessert sampler....choice of 4 desserts in sampler size. My friends sampled chocolate espresso truffle flour less cake, lemon curd tart, blueberry pie and strawberry rhubarb pie....all delicious, as was my pound cake! We sat out in the garden for our lunch outing a few days earlier; a beautiful tranquil setting to enjoy our meal. We all loved our food: gazpacho, "house special" turkey meatloaf (moist & flavorful with carmelized onions), Pear Gorgonzola salad, Roast Beef & Brie sandwich and the French Brie, Apple & Walnut sandwich. Good selection of wines and beer, but they don't serve cocktails unfortunately...but that's my only tiny complaint. Belle & Maxwell's is well worth the drive from anywhere in South Florida! Can't wait for my next trip south.

Super cute decor. The waitstaff was great. The menu was nice with lots of lovely sounding things to choose from, but the food was hit or miss. I had a flat bread which was pretty good, but nothing special. Some of our group got the Risotto which they all felt was not at all creamy, and was basically rice with some vegetables mixed in and a few frozen shrimp. Two of our party got the seared tuna salad which they felt wasn't as fresh as it could be the fish smelled overly fishy. We were really disappointed with the owner when she inquired about one of our group not liking her dish. She was abrasive and very rude and more concerned with her ego than with making the paying customers happy. That's just bad business. We won't return.

Delicious lunch! I had the caprese sandwich- really fresh ingredients and amazing pesto. I tried some of the quiche, too- also delicious. Looking forward to trying it for dinner. Friendly service and fun atmosphere.

This is my first negative review ever! We stopped for lunch on Saturday and had a lovely waitress. My husband ordered a bowl of soup- $6.- and a $3. Grilled cheese sandwich from the kid's menu. He was charged $12. Because he was an adult. We questioned the cost and were told that was the policy. No question. There was spoiled watermelon on the plate with it. A terrible experience. Nasty owner with no consideration for a customer. Don't order off the menu at all.

This place is adorable! I stopped by here to pick up a take out order and when i got in i wished that i was dining in. Even when I walked in and was looking at the menu in the front, the next guy that came in with his wife stopped to tell me that this was their favorite restaurant and that everything there was absolutely amazing. I even double checked with him that my to go order of the tuna melt was a good choice, and he confirmed it was. Boy was he right! The open face tuna melt is pretty simple but the flavors are spot on. Even though its simple, they put capers in it which sets it apart from any other tuna melt I've ever had. Loved it! Love this place!

This place is such a cute and classy little place nestled in the antique district of West Palm Beach. I passed by this place many times and have always wanted to try them. Finally, a coworker and I gave them a shot. The inside decor is very elegant and they have seating outside in the front and the back of the restaurant. We sat in the back outside area, and the ambience in the back is reminiscent of the outdoor areas of the nearby antique shops for those of you who have explored them. The only complaint I have are the mosquitoes. My friend and I were eaten alive. There really should be some citronella (sp?) candles or bug zappers back there. As for the food, I ordered the quiche of the day, which was broccoli and cheese, and it was to die for!!! My friend ordered the apple, brie and walnut sandwich and he said it was "amazing". I'm so glad I tried this place and is definitely one of my new favorite places. I would definitely go back again! I just wouldn't sit in the back outside area anymore. Mosquitoes think I'm too tasty lol

Always great food and wine. Small place with good service. I tend to go here for wine with my girlfriends, or a quiet lunch. Staff is helpful and service has always been up to par. Pricing is good. You can even sit outside.

I'm so glad we found this awesome secret just minutes from home. Absolutely could not get any better for date night. Ambience is great, crowd is a little older but a good mix around 8pm. Elegant menu but still casual enough to feel really comfortable - and for all that, the prices are seriously reasonable. I've gone to plenty of other places with the same kind of menu, about the same quality, but for literally twice as much. A fantastic dinner for two (inc. one 8oz filet), four glasses of GREAT wine, and dessert, and we were full for $100. You cannot beat that.

Just go !! This little joint is a place that you literally drive by going unnoticed. Small strip mall with shops all around.Once you get inside its hard to believe what a find your sitting in. House wine excellent, both red and white. Appreciate you can order both small and large plates. Service, basically like your at a relative's house. All 8 meals were delicious. Not a complaint from some serious diners.Make reservations, you'll need them.

Restaurant was cute and servers were very sweet. Unfortunately the food was pretty bad. I had a tuna salad and it was super fishy. A friend sent her food back and the owner came over to talk to us and was very nasty. She had "creamy" risotto and was unable to eat it. The risotto was not creamy at all. She also ordered a seafood chowder that was inedible. The chowder had an awful stench of old fish I could smell across the table. I will not return here and definitely do not recommend this place.

What an interesting little spot. Just across the bridge to Palm Beach Island on Old Dixie. It is on the east side of the road and very easy to miss. The outside is a little dated but charming. It looks like an antique shoppe. Coincidentally so does the inside. Amazing stained glass windows and antique chairs are scattered throughout. It reminds me of a Paris bistro on the inside. Very chic! The staff is very curtious. I really like them. It was my first time and it felt as though it was my 100th. I arrived between 4pm and 5pm. They have a special limited menu at this time. Sort of like the witching hour. Don't go there then. They accomidated me making food from the lunch menu, but if they didn't ther is not a great deal to choose from. Speaking of lunch and dinner, both menus look amazing. I must say, I was very impressed with the offerings. Lunch brought hearty sandwhiches and salads while dinner was a mix of classic disheswith flaire. We had the roast beef sandwhich and the smoked turkey sandwhich - to-go. Roast beef was excellent. Fresh and tasty in a french bread rool that cracked and crunched like great bread should. The roast beef like the deliectable turkey was accompanied by a creamy brie as well as thick hand sliced tomatoes that where excellent. Maybe it's beacuse I went in with low expectations, but this hidden gem is a must if you are in the area. Skip the Subway in the Science Center and call ahead for a sandwhich that has twice as much meat and 10 times as much flavor. Now to come back for dinner. Until next time, dine fine.

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
